FiSEC announces a new member of its traffic monitoring product line to be released in summer 2010. At a very competitive price, TM WTS 20 will enable cities, governments and private road owners to measure, classify and control car and truck traffic. It has the size of a car stick shift and can be easily embedded into the surface of roads and highways within 1 hour. Like its pre-decessors, TM WTS 20 relies on a built-in earth magnetic field sensor and state-of-the-art signal-processing and classification software. TM WTS 20 is capable of counting cars and trucks while they are standing or driving at speeds up to 200 km/h. Also car speed measurements can be obtained by deploying a series of devices. Depending on product variant, the data is read out to a notebook computer through a wireless interface or sent to the data center by mobile phone technologies. |
